I’ve always been in love with the piercing noise of shoegaze, but it’s undeniable that there’s a softness that permeates some of the best shoegaze albums. This mix was an attempt to highlight that, by combining some of the harshest shoegaze and no-wave with some of the softest adult contemporary. A mix that absolutely shouldn’t have ever been made, and yet it now stands among my favorites.
